Optometrist

I have a very exciting opportunity that has just become available within a busy multiple practice within the Reading area. The role is for an experienced Optometrist on a permanent full time contract.

• Hours – 9:00-5:30 to include 1 weekend day per week
• Salary – Up to £60k
• Generous Bonus Scheme

This practice is very well established and has a very strong local customer base. This is a busy store with a team of 10-15 strong and due to continued success they are looking to add another Optometrist to work alongside 3 employed Optometrists including the Optom Director.

This practice has 7 members of the team that have been in this practice for over a decade, therefore you can guarantee you are joining an experienced team that can support you, that have seen it all as well as the fact you can expect job security. The team work very closely together and have a friendly working atmosphere which makes this practice a great place to work.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

Performing eyes tests at 20 minute appointments
Retinal imaging
Adhering to all GOC guidelines
Building excellent patient reports
Contact Lens Fittings
Helping to assist team and develop and grow team culture further

Requirements of the Optometrist

Must be GOC registered
Open to newly qualified or experienced
A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
Must be able to work well within a team

Compensation for the Optometrist

You will be working in a large, modern, well equipped practice with OCT, Ipads and all the latest equipment and technology in place.
For your efforts a competitive salary of up to £60,000 is on offer along with a competitive bonus scheme.
