Optometrist

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a franchise of this leading UK multiple, who are looking to add an Optometrist to their successful practice in Farnham.

Open to full time, part time or school hours!!!

The ideal candidate will be an Optometrist with a couple years’ experience preferably with a fast paced opticians.
You will ideally be familiar with cataract referrals, glaucoma screening and be open to developing further.
You will need to be a strong team player, a real ‘people person’ and pride yourself in your punctuality and professionalism.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

The role will involve conducting sight tests in 25+ minute time slots with all pre-screening done for you ensuring plenty of time to make a strong recommendation. Contact lens fittings and aftercares are also part of the role. As this is a franchise of a busy multiple that is renowned for going the extra mile you will be expected to give excellent customer care and be able to go that extra mile where possible.

Requirements of the Optometrist

The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 2/3 years post qualification experience ideally within a clinical practice.
All fully qualified with GOC having all CET points and NHS number
You will possess excellent communication skills and will be passionate about delivering the highest possible levels of care.
You will be hard working and dynamic – happy to go the extra mile. Within this company everyone is expected to take a certain amount of ownership and to treat their patents as though they are theirs.

Compensation for the Optometrist

In return, the company can offer a fantastic working environment with an excellent level of support from a huge enthusiastic team.
Basic salary is dependent upon experience and personality and ranging from £30-60k basic also including a very rewarding bonus scheme, GOC fees paid etc.

Working Monday – Saturday with a day off in the week – 9:00-5:30
You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training, progress and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
