Salary is up to £16,500
Hours are 9:00-5:30, no Sundays

Are you an experienced Optical Assistant living in the Essex area and looking for a new role – I have a new opportunity as either an Optical Assistant or Contact Lens Supervisor in a practice which has recently been refitted – new equipment, modern practice and as always has been here a great team culture/ working environment.

For this role you can either focus your dispensing skills on the shop floor along with pre-screening and frame styling or take on the contact lens department doing contact lens teaches, setting up direct debits and organising the database/ department.

This is a full time role in the Essex area where you will be working for a franchise of one of the UK’s most trusted and reputed optical brands. This particular store although have a high volume also heavily focus on customer service which has led them to win awards on their service.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests carry out frame styling and give patients advice on best options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.
Or if you would prefer can take on the contact lens department being in control of all contact lens teaches, direct debit sign-ups an organising the database.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant

As an Optical Assistant within this practice you ideally have 12 months’ minimum experience within an opticians and can comfortably dispense to all levels, pre- screen and perform contact lens teaches.
If you have worked in a big, fast-paced opticians and pride yourself on customer service, this could be the role for you.
As a member of the stores team you will have a valued input with best practice and clinical compliance.

Compensation for the Optical Assistant
