Optical Assistant position.

I am working with an award winning independent practice that is clinically focused with a great local reputation. They are right at the very top end of the market and offer a wide range of products and services. The position that they have is for an experienced Optical Assistant who wants to complete the DO course and progress within their career. The company is supportive and professional and they will give you all of the support required to fully qualify as a dispensing optician.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant.

Your role will be to work within a busy independent practice supporting the optometrists with hand overs and general admin. You will be required to dispense to all levels and complete pre-screening and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to undertake general admin and reception work. In addition to this once you begin the course you will be required to work through your assignments and tests etc. The course will be completed on a day release basis and the company will provide all training required to complete this.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant.

Must have past Optical experience and be able to dispense to all levels. This client is only looking for an Optical Assistant that is wanting to progress there career and they are happy to help with this as long as you have the passion drive and the right attitude to working for them

Compensation for the Optical Assistant.
