Optical Assistant Position

This is 4 or 5-day role working within a newly refurbished high quality practice working with an outgoing team of driven professionals.
The new owner has over 20 years in the industry and is dedicated to offering the best customer care and with that eye tests are in 40 minute appointments.
This is a busy practice and is well established and can boasts a growing client base of both NHS and private and fast creating a buzz in the area as the one to visit.

The team are very friendly and the generally are very sociable with regular external events / occasions to let off steam.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

The role will entail the higher end of the dispensing side of things as it is all about the customer journey. Your dispensing of glasses to all levels must be of a high standard with experience of taking the customer through the whole journey including problem solving and trouble shooting.
Regularly performing pre-screening and contact lens teaches, frame styling and giving patients professional advice on their options.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant

My client is looking for applicants with at least 1 year of experience as an Optical Assistant ideally within a busy high end practice but not essential as full training to a higher standard is on offer.
The ability to dispense to all levels is essential with a friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic. A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Optical Assistant.

On offer is very competitive salary of up to £17,000 + benefits, as well as the continued development opportunities.
