Job Details
A full time Optical Lab Technician is required to join a leading ophthalmic lens manufacturer based in Birmingham. This is a newly created team due to customer demands, and the shift pattern is Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 8am - 8pm.
Optical Lab Technician - The Role
- Enter lenses and frames into the business
- Correctly pair lenses and frames in job sets
- Process frames through tracing to create a high-quality job set up
- Manage the MEI equipment to cut the lenses to the required specification
- Fit lenses to the specified frames
- Check the final quality of the spectacles created
- Dispatch the orders to the purchasing customer
Optical Lab Technician - Requirements
- Experience of working in an Optical environment
- Glazing experience
- Proven track record in QC
- Ability to work weekends and 12 hour shifts
Salary and Further Details
- Basic salary between £20,000 to £22,000
- Saturday, Sunday and Monday - 8am to 8pm
- Pension - 10% contribution
- Bonus
- Free parking or Travel Card (post induction)
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
