Qualified Dispensing Optician

You will be able to drive as this role will be mobile between 3 practices in the West Sussex area

Opening Hours:
Mondays to Friday- 9:00-17:30
Saturdays – 9:00-13:00
Alternate Saturdays
Closed Sundays and all Bank Holidays

Package:
£25k-£35k basic (depending on experience), fees paid, 5 weeks holiday

You will be GOC registered, been in optics for 5 years+ and ideally have previous independent experience. You will be joining a very experienced team amongst other Qualified Dispensing Opticians who all work in a close-knit team.

Responsibilities of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

” You will be responsible for dealing with each and every patient to the best of your ability
” Dispensing a wide range of frames/ lenses, frame selection and adjustments
” You will be working between 3 practices but wont be expected to travel during the working day
” You will also be required to do pre-screening, contact lens teaches as well as admin/ reception responsibilities
” You will have a strong optical knowledge, be patient, sympathetic and be able to help each patient in a calm, friendly manner. Not target-driven, not hard-sell

Requirements of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

It is essential that you have previous experience within optics and ideally have worked within a high end, clinical independent environment and have great people skills
You must be GOC registered and up to date with CET points
Be able to provide excellent service to each and every patient
Be driven and want to develop within your role
Be able to work individually and as part of a team
Be able to drive and have transport
