Optical Area Sales Manager - North London & Home Counties

Optical Area Sales Manager Role in North London and Home Counties. Zest Optical are currently looking to recruit an Area Sales Manager for a leading designer and manufacturer of eyewear and ophthalmic lenses. The position will cover North London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

The Area Sales Manager represents the company in the designated territory and is responsible for the development of profitable growth in value and volume according to the agreed budget. The role will also involve increasing market share via business consulting and building long-term relationships with existing and new customers

Key responsibilities;

• To present themselves as the appointed Area Sales Manager for the company's products, in a manner that is reflective of the brand's position & reputation.
• To take ownership & accountability for the presentation & merchandise levels of all company products in store.
• To take ownership of the standard of product knowledge & brand awareness for all instore staff, to deliver product training
• To work in collaboration with the Lens Consultant, with all pre-determined target accounts to deliver the lens target for the designated sales territory.
• Work collaboratively with Head of Lenses, including attending to requests to undertake tasks.
• To keep all customers informed of all product developments, marketing initiatives, and communication from the company
• To ensure they maintain a very high level of product knowledge of the company's product portfolio & services

The candidate will have a strong Optical background and will need to be either a fully qualified Dispensing Optician or have experience of selling ophthalmic lenses. You will also need strong time management and organisational skills, with a keen interest in customer needs and attention to detail.
