Head of Clinical Reporting and Call Centre Operations Role summary

Position: Head of clinical reporting and call centre operations

Location: Wakefield

Salary: Competitive basic dependent on experience

Working hours: Full time to include weekend work – part time also considered

Experience level: A minimum of 6 months experience working in audiology or optics is required for this role

At Specsavers Wakefield we’re looking for someone to join our friendly optical and hearcare team to support both departments.

 

The right candidate will be required of the following:  

  • Direct reporting line to the optical and audiology directors
  • Able to work to scheduled deadlines   
  • Commitment to being in the business 5 days a week to include weekends.
  • Responsibility for ensuring that the cc remains fully manned during business opening hours, including regular dialogue with store managers to substitute manpower where required.  
  • With the aid of the cc team investigate banking and cash discrepancies in a timely manner including the reporting of the optical and audiology business.  
  • Inventory and orders for audiology customers.  
  • Inventory for the optical business.  
  • Management of referrals to both NHS and accredited providers using the ers and Sycle system.
  • An excellent telephone manner and knowledge of call operation systems.
  • Management of call data to ensure that every call is directed to the appropriate department and that customers receive the best quality care.
  • Management of diary to maximise appointment bookings and reduce attrition rates.  
  • A knowledge of audit processing for the NHS, QiO and Iqips.  
  • Ensuring that every GOS and audiology claim is submitted in a timely manner.  
  • An understanding of eGOS submission.  
  • Ensuring contact lens drop-out rates are managed by a clinical team member.  
  • Cash processing and a knowledge of till handling.  
  • Diary management including management of appointments to the appropriate clinics.  
  • Ensuring the processing of invoices in a timely manner.  
  • Accurate handling of subject access requests.  
  • A willingness to travel to offsite locations for audit purposes.  
  • A knowledge of the relevant authorities that both the optical and audiology business work with, including an understanding of contractual requirements.  
  • An in-depth knowledge of Microsoft office, including but not limited to PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint.

The right person will have experience in either audiology or optics. You’ll also need an organised approach and work well within a team.
