Match2Match Recruitment is currently seeking an Optometrist in Harley Street.

MONDAY TO FRIDAY ONLY.

The job requires:

• The ability to communicate and interact effectively, calmly and compassionately, during various points of contact with patients and staff alike
• You will need to be flexible and accommodating
• You will have to be knowledgeable about the clinic
• You will need to know what the clinic can offer the client in any number of special circumstances

Daily duties involve:

• Full pre-operative consultation for suitability for laser surgery, cataract and ICL’s.
• Post-operative consultations
• Report writing
• Patients queries
• Continuous training in the refractive laser eye surgery field
• Take part in presentations
• Complex patients case management
• Co-management of patients with their surgeons, and other optoms and nurses.

Job requirements:

• Optometrist degree with a valid GOC registration
• Must have at least 4 years experience as an Optometrist
• Refractive Surgery experience preferable but not essential
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• A self-starter, capable of working within a team with minimal supervision
• Clerical and administrative experience using computers
• Working Knowledge of a simple database application, word, excel, email and the Internet
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to speak a second language will be an advantage, but not necessary
