A very exciting opportunity has become available for an Optometrist on a 4 or 5 day, permanent basis with a high end independent chain based in the South West.
I am recruiting currently for a very well established independent optical company based in the Somerset area who have an opening.

This independent high street opticians, who have a fantastic reputation for their high quality service, are looking to add to their team by recruiting an Optometrist to work between 3 of their practices in the South West area.

An enthusiastic and committed individual is required join and work between 3 of their successful practices within the group. Located in an excellent location, this optician’s attractive practices are equipped to the highest standard fully kitted out with the latest instruments and equipment such as Topcon OCT’s, Test Chart 2000 & VisuReal dispensing computers in every practice within the group coupled superb frame collections and world beating lenses we offer an unparalleled service to our patients and boasts a good support team

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified Optometrist – open to the amount of experience. What’s important, is your ability to build rapport and converse with patients as pride themselves on excellent customer care.
Looking to do (on average) 14 tests per day with 30-minute testing slots to provide excellent service to your patients, you will be working with all the latest equipment as previously mentioned in a relaxed calm environment surrounded by a close knit friendly team

Requirements of the Optometrist

Must be GOC registered
Open to newly qualified or experienced
A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Optometrist

For your efforts a competitive package is on offer
o Up to £60,000 basic
o Travel allowance
o Professional fees covered
o 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays
o Sociable hours with no Sundays or late nights
o You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.

Working 9:00-5:30 Monday to Saturday – 37.5 hours to include Saturdays, no Sundays or Bank holidays
