Optical Assistant - Essex

My client is a fantastic independent Opticians based in South Woodham Ferres, Essex and they are currently looking to recruit a full time Optical Assistant. The practice is extremely modern and well presented, mainly dispensing the higher end of the market with brands such as Prada, Versace, Bvlgari, Armani, Silhouette. You will have the freedom to recommend whichever lenses and frames you feel suitable as you are not restricted in terms of brands.

As an experienced Optical Assistant you will be able to dispense all lenses and prescriptions to an excellent level, including varifocal. You will also be involved in reception duties, measurement and adjustments.

Previous Optical Assistant is essential.

One key element to the role is the ability to develop relationships with customers, ensuring they leave the practice satisfied and happy to return. As an independent surrounded by multiples its important to offer an outstanding level of customer service.

You must be well presented, reliable and punctual with excellent communication skills. In times when the practice isn't busy you have be able to use your initiative to complete other tasks.

The role is to work 5 days a week including Saturdays with typical working hours between 8.30am to 5pm (one late opening a week)

Salary wise the client is looking to pay between £16,000 to £18,500 .
