A very exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate and enthusiastic individual who is commercially aware and driven to succeed. This is a full time, permanent vacancy for an experienced Optical Assistant in a brand new practice in southwest London.

You will be working in a busy store in an all-round role but you can expect an up-beat, friendly atmosphere surrounded by your team who all work together to give great customer service but also enjoy each day in their role.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on best options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant

As an Optical Assistant within this practice, you will work on the shop floor in the dispensing team as well as doing pre-screening, contact lens teaches and admin/ reception duties.
Ideally, 2 years minimum experience within an opticians and dispensing to all levels is required for this role. As a member of the stores team, you will have a valued input with best practice and clinical compliance.

Compensation for the Optical Assistant

For your efforts a competitive salary package up to £20,000 dependent on your experience is on offer.
Your efforts will be rewarded with a variety of bonus schemes
Training and development is always on offer for the right people and are currently looking for someone to develop into an in store trainer, other progression routes include DO course and management.
This role can offer flexibility with weekends offering alternating weekend days (working either Saturday or Sunday)
