Optometrist - Newcastle-under-Lyme Role summary

Specsavers has been going from strength to strength, ever since the business started back in 1984. We strive for the highest clinical standards – and believe that the customer should be at the heart of everything we do. We also recognise that our people are critical to our past and future success – so we do everything we can to make sure they get the experience and career they’re looking for: from outstanding training and a personal development plan, to excellent benefits and unstinting support. The business has nearly 1,500 stores across 12 countries – and is still growing. We want you to be part of this outstanding success story.

Join our team in Newcastle-under-Lyme and you’ll soon understand that when you’re part of Specsavers – the UK’s biggest provider of professional eyecare – there’s always something exciting ahead.

This opportunity provides a fantastic package consisting of:

  • Competitive salary exceeding national average within Specsavers
  • Competitive bonus scheme
  • Enhance your skill set with additional courses and servies offered within the group
  • Progression through to the possibility of partnership
  • Upto date equipment including OCT machine
  • Possible relocation package available.

Our Optometrists provide eye examinations (and a contact lens service) that meet high clinical standards as well as strict NHS guidelines. But just as importantly, they provide every customer with clear advice and the peace of mind that comes with being in expert hands. To be part of our team, you’ll need to provide the same blend of customer care and professional excellence – which will make a big impact on the store’s overall success.

An experienced professional, you’ll be an expert at putting people at their ease. You can talk customers through the eye examination process and explain their options in a clear, easy to understand way. What’s more, you’re organised and passionate about what you do – which means you keep accurate records and always have up-to-date knowledge of the latest developments in your field.
