Optical Assistant

This well respected independent chain are now recruiting for an Optical Receptionist to join their established and professional team in the Winchester area.

Must be customer focused and clinically minded, this is a high end practice, so experience with other high end practices is preferable. This role will not entail dispensing, however an optical background is required as you will be doing pre-screens, working with OCT, taking photographs of the eyes and have excellent customer service skills.

This is not a hard sell practice but knowledge and experience of the retail side of the business is an advantage.

Responsibilities of the Optical Receptionist

Conducting pre-screen tests
Frame styling
Giving patients expert advice
Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.

Requirements of the Optical Receptionist

You will be organised and can keep to a high level of tidiness
Have a strong level of customer service and communication
At least 2 years of experience as an Optical Assistant ideally within a busy practice.
A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Optical Receptionist

For your efforts and experience a competitive salary of up to £17,000 is on offer along with bonuses and additional benefits. You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment with an independent opticians.
