Full Time

I am working with one my clients who are ideally looking for a newly qualified Optometrist to join a large modern multiple that has very recently had a large shop re-fit adding another test room giving the availability for this role.

The practice is well equipped with fundus cameras and OCT coming in the very near future in a brand new modern “all singing, all dancing” test room and comfortable overall work space. They have a fully trained support team who do all pre-tests and take your professional handovers to ensure the patients get the best advice and correct prescription requirements.
They are a very close team who all have the best interests of both the team and the patients in mind.

Optometrist Position

This is a full time opportunity with a market leading opticians in a prime location.
They will consider both newly qualified as well as those who are more experienced.
They are one of the major opticians in the area and servicing both private and NHS clients and offering a good range of lenses and frames to suit all budgets.
They now require a GOC registered optometrist to test to 25 minutes with MINIMAL CONTACT LENSES OR CHILDREN.
The working hours are 9:00-18:00 with 1 hour lunch

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

The role will be delivering eye tests to a high standard with occasional contact lens work undertaken. You will be expected to make recommendations to patients who will then be passed on to the support team.

Requirements of the Optometrist

You will be GOC registered and full CET accredited and happy to test to 25 minutes and have sound clinical skills and strong commercial awareness.
They are open to any levels of experience as it is more about your commercial awareness and clinical skills. You will have a friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic. A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Optometrist

For your skills and input my client is offering a competitive salary of up to £35,000 basic and a good bonus scheme is in place. You will also have the opportunity for ongoing personal development.
Flexibility on weekends
