The practice has 2 test rooms with air conditioned and comfortable work spaces. They have a fully trained support team who do all pre-tests and take your handovers professionally to ensure the patients get the best advice and correct prescription requirements.

Optometrist Position

This is a 3 day opportunity with a market leading opticians in prime locations in the Cannock area.
The practices is situated in a prime location with strong footfall and surrounded by all the major local shops and amenities and as such there is a good flow of custom. They are the major opticians in the area and servicing both private and NHS clients and offering a good range of lenses and frames to suit all budgets. They now require a GOC registered optometrist to test to 20/25 minutes and comfortable doing contact lens work.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

The role will be delivering eye tests to a high standard with some contact lens work undertaken. You will be expected to make recommendations to patients who will then be passed on to the support team.
You will be flexible with working patterns as there is some weekend working on a rota basis.

Requirements of the Optometrist

You will be GOC registered and full CET accredited and happy to test to 20/25 minutes and have sound clinical skills and strong commercial awareness.
They are open to any levels of experience as it is more about your commercial awareness and clinical skills. You will have a friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic. A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
*An added advantage would be to hold certification for Glaucoma screening, if not full training would be provided.

Compensation for the Optometrist

For your skills and input my client is offering a competitive salary of up to £45,000 basic and a bonus scheme is in place to further enhance your earnings potential  and 33 holidays and professional fees paid. You will also have the opportunity for ongoing personal development.

Look forward to hearing from you soon
