Optometrist

YOU MUST BE A QUALIFIED OPTOMETRIST REGISTERED ON THE GOC.

If you are clinically focussed optometrist who wants more time with your patients and to work within a quality independent opticians then this could be the role for you.

Optometrist Position.

This is a full time position covering predominantly 2 stores in Kent within close proximity of each other with occasional cover and another practice or 2 in the local area. This position is with an independent company with a good reputation and long standing and loyal customer base. The test rooms are well equipped, bright and airy. You will be well supported by a professional team which includes qualified dispensing opticians.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

Your role will to conduct a comprehensive sight test working within 30 – 40 minute slots. You will use the latest equipment and offer patients your expert advice and recommendations. You will also carry out contact lens checks and after care appointments. As with all independent companies each member of the team helps in all areas of the practice to ensure the smooth running of the business and when not testing you may be required to come onto the shop floor to offer advice or answer a clinical question.

Requirements of the Optometrist.

To apply for this position you must be a fully qualified, GOC registered optometrist who is up to date with all CET requirements. You will be a great communicator who is able to built rapport with patients which will ultimately lead to sales. You will be dynamic and understand the financial aspects of the role to ensure the continued success of the business.

Compensation for the Optometrist.

On offer for your efforts is a competitive salary of £46,000 + excellent bonus worth £10,000 + GOC Fees.
