Are you an experienced Optical Assistant looking for that step into management?

I am currently working with a large, well established and successful opticians who are looking for a supervisor. You will be overlooking the dispensing team of 14 strong with the support from another 2 supervisors like yourself, reporting to 1 of 2 managers on a day to day basis.

This is a very good opportunity for an experienced Optical Assistant looking to develop their optical career and take on a more senior role. As well as managing the dispensing team, you will also be doing dispensing and leading by example.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Manager

The role will entail supervising and leading a team on the shop floor you will also be dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. This person is also required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on best options.
Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.

Requirements of the Assistant Manager

As a Supervisor within this practice you will work on the shopfloor in the dispensing team. You will be on hand to help junior members of the team with any difficult questions and general trouble shooting. As a member of the stores team you will have a valued input with best practice and clinical compliance.

Compensation for the Assistant Manager

For your efforts a competitive salary package dependant on your experience is on offer up to £18k, along with a strong bonus scheme (approx. £2k) and additional benefits such as fees paid, medical, dental etc. plus 28 days holiday. You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
