The opportunity in more detail:

As an Optometrist in our Keynsham store you’ll be focused on making sure our customers get an expert eye examination (or contact lens service), complete with clear information, sound advice and a friendly, professional approach. You’ll work to the highest clinical standards, ensuring we comply with NHS guidelines and help to build a loyal customer base. The store is currently running between 3-4 clinics a day and also run Post Cataracs and Glaucoma clinics. You’ll complete an average of 15 tests a day at 25 minutes and will have a choice in your working environment, whether it is phoropter or trial frames, short form or long form room, there is plenty of choice across our 5 testing rooms

As a professional, you’ll be an expert at putting people at ease. You can talk customers through the eye examination process and explain their options in a clear, easy to understand way. What’s more, you’re organised and passionate about what you do – which means you keep accurate records and always have up-to-date knowledge of the latest developments in your field. You’ll have the support of our 5 strong Optometrist team (including our Ophthalmic Director) and our store team of 27.

The working environment:

Keynsham is situated conveniently between the bustling cities of Bristol and Bath and is easily accessible by both rail and car; with just a short 15 minute drive either way or 10 minute train journey.  This well established store is located in the town centre of this thriving community and thanks to a complete shop refit last year the store benefits from a modern working environment. The store is spread out across 2 floors and features 2 short form testing rooms and 3 long form rooms, equipped with a mixture of phoropters and trial frames.
