I am working with one my clients in the area who are ideally looking for a Contact Lens Optician to join a large modern multiple that has very recently had a large shop re-fit adding another test room giving the availability for this role.

The practice is well equipped with fundus cameras and OCT coming in the very near future in a brand new modern “all singing, all dancing” test room and comfortable overall work space. They have a fully trained support team who do all pre-tests and take your professional handovers to ensure the patients get the best advice and correct prescription requirements.
They are a very close team who all have the best interests of both the team and the patients in mind.

Contact Lens Optician Position

This is a full time opportunity with a market leading opticians in prime location.
They are one of the major opticians in the area and servicing both private and NHS clients and offering a good range of lenses and frames to suit all budgets.
They now require a GOC registered Contact Lens Optician to perform contact lens fittings.
The working hours are 9:00-18:00 with 1 hour lunch

Responsibilities of the Contact Lens Optician

As a Contact Lens Optician within this practice you will have full contact lens clinics and be able to manage your fitting times effectively while providing excellent car. You will be on hand to help junior members of the team with any difficult questions and general trouble shooting. As a member of the stores clinical team you will have a valued input with best practice and clinical compliance.

Requirements of the Contact Lens Optician

You will be GOC registered and full CET accredited and have sound clinical skills and strong commercial awareness.
They are open to any levels of experience as it is more about your commercial awareness and clinical skills.
You will have a friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Contact Lens Optician

For your skills and input my client is offering a competitive salary of up to £28,000 basic and a good bonus scheme is in place. You will also have the opportunity for ongoing personal development.
