Optometrist

My client has an award winning reputation offering a better than average basic salary and 33 days holidays and a strong overall benefits package.
They are now seeking to employ an optometrist to take on a 3 day position covering over 24 hours per week with Saturday as part of the working week.

Optometrist Position

This is a part time opportunity with a fast growing optical group situated in a busy location in the Birmingham area.
This practice is situated offset from a busy road and offers employees free parking in a secure car park.
This particular store has good footfall with a strong customer base made up of mainly NHS patients. They are a community values driven company with a patient focused team who have the same ethos to deliver the highest levels of customer care possible.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

The role will entail testing to 20 minutes and conducting contact lens fittings. You will also be required to do effective handovers with recommendations to the support team. You will also be involved in the planning for the future alongside the qualified manager.

Requirements of the Optometrist

Be in possession of a valid GOC registration and PCT certificate. Be comfortable testing to 20 minutes and happy to do contact lens fittings. You would be open to playing a part in the overall planning process for the practice looking at increasing diary bookings and eye tests and patronage. You will have a friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic. A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
*Working Saturdays is a part of this role so flexibility is required.

Compensation for the Optometrist

For this 3 day role my client is offering a competitive salary of up to £54,000 pro-rata basic and a strong overall package. You will also have the opportunity to complete your continuous learning.
