My client is a family run leading independent chain of opticians who have been established for over 75 years and have a strong reputation for clinical excellence and patient care.
They are looking to recruit an Optometrist to work full time across 3 practices in the Dorset region. This is a very relaxed working environment where customer focus is a priority.
My client is looking for an enthusiastic, upbeat person looking to work in an independent rather than the multiples stepping away from the “production line” style.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

The role will involve conducting sight tests in 25-30 minute time slots ensuring plenty of time to make a strong recommendation. Contact lens fittings and aftercares are also part of the role. As this is an independent company that is renowned for going the extra mile you will be expected to come onto the shop floor to answer questions and get involved with patients as well.

Requirements of the Optometrist

The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 1 years post qualification experience ideally within a clinical practice. You will possess excellent communication skills and will be passionate about delivering the highest possible levels of care. You will be hard working and dynamic – happy to go the extra mile. Within this company everyone is expected to take a certain amount of ownership and to treat their patents as though they were their own.

Compensation for the Optometrist

For your expertise my client is offer a more than competitive salary of up to £60,000, there are also additional benefits such as 5 weeks holiday, no Sunday or Bank Holiday working and the opportunity to develop your skills as well as free parking and boasting some of the latest technology in the rooms.
