Optical Assistant

A very exciting opportunity has become available for an Optical Assistant on a full time, permanent basis with a high end independent chain.
I am recruiting currently for a very well established optical company in the Milton Keynes area who have an opening.

This independent high street opticians, who have a fantastic reputation for their high quality service, are looking to add to their team by recruiting an Optical Assistant to join their practice in the area.

An enthusiastic and committed individual is required join this successful practice. Located in an excellent location, this attractive practice is equipped to the highest standard and boasts a good support team.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

The ideal candidate will have had experience as an Optical Assistant, but the amount of experience is not important. What is important, is your ability to build rapport and converse with patients, while getting involved in the day to day tasks of the store whether that be dispensing, stock taking, answering calls or dealing with problems.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant.

At least 2 years of experience as an Optical Assistant ideally within a busy practice.
The ability to dispense to all levels.
Must be a confident driver as may be needed to cover other local practices on a semi-regular basis
A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Optical Assistant

For your efforts a competitive salary of up to £17,000 is on offer. You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment, potential opportunity prospects as are looking to develop their staff and with this role are looking to put on to the DO course.

Working 9:00-5:30 Monday to Friday and a 45-minute lunch and 8:45-4 on Saturday with 1 day off in the week.
No Sundays or Bank holidays and can be flexible on days for the right person
