We are looking for a qualified optometrist with energy and enthusiasm, a sense of fun, a need for a different pace of life and maybe even an entrepreneurial spirit - on offer is a very competitive package!

Your role in our store

We know that regardless of whom you work for, who you work with, and wherever you live in the UK -an eye-test is an eye-test, pure and simple. We can’t tell you that your 20 minutes with your patients is any different to anywhere else - but what we can offer is a workplace where we want you to be part of our team in Specsavers Rustington, and together, we’ll strive to give the best service to our patients.

The area

Rustington is centrally situated on the West Sussex Coast almost midway between the cathedral city of Chichester and Brighton, one of the most well-known seaside resorts in England; and ideally placed for exploring the district.

Much of Rustington's charm is due to a happy blending of the old and the new, from the thatched cottages to the modern buildings. Rustington can be cited as an outstanding example of how such an old village can grow into a large residential and shopping locality whilst still remaining a community with character.

The store itself

The store has enjoyed phenomenal growth in the past year, which is down to good teamwork and loyal hardworking staff. We have five consulting rooms and a diverse staff team to support you and maintain a flexible and friendly environment – plus it is 3 minutes’ walk from the closest beach!

The store offers excellent service to all patients and has up-to-date ophthalmic equipment. All pre and post-screening will be carried out for you by clinical or optical assistants – which will allow you to concentrate on carrying out eye examinations to a high standard, and maintain an honest commercial approach to recommending the right products for the right patients.
