Domiciliary Optical Assistant - North West London Role summary

Location: To cover Brent, Barnet and Islington Boroughs

Salary: Competitive basic dependent on experience

Working hours: Full time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week contracted

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Optical Assistant to join our expanding domiciliary care business. On offer is not only an excellent remuneration package, which includes a car or car allowance and performance related bonus, but more importantly the chance to take the next step in your optical career.

This role will appeal to those who want to move away from the High Street – who want genuine professional freedom and above all a great changing working environment where you are rewarded and recognised for your daily contributions to the business.

As an experienced Optical Assistant, you’ll ensure the delivery of a high quality professional service, with high standards of dispensing, and customer care – in short, you’ll make sure every customer gets a great experience. This role is predominantly working independently as a fitter of the glasses for our patients. This role makes up potentially the most important step in our patients domiciliary eyecare journey as you finish their experience by ensuring that they are happy with their frames and lenses and all their questions have been answered.

Previous optical experience is essential for this position. The successful candidate will be confident dispensing single vision, varifocal and bifocal lenses and hold a full UK driving license. Ideally you will be living in the Barnet, Brent or Islington areas.

If you are looking for a change of environment from the high street and want more diversity and freedom in your working day then this role could be perfect for you. It will allow you the opportunity to put your skills to the test and make a real difference to the quality of a person’s life and help and support a local community.
