Practice opening hours:

• 9:00am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 1:00 on Saturdays
• Closed Sundays and Bank Holidays

Position available:

• Part time (3 days a week)
• Alternate Saturdays possible

The Business:

• Owns 3 practices in Kent

The practice:

• 3 consulting rooms
• Experienced Optometrists, Dispensing Opticians and Optical Assistants
• Using paper based patient management systems and state of the art equipment
• Relocation potential as they own a 2 bedroom apartment above the store

Location - East Kent

Key Benefits

Very competitive salary

• Between £50,000 - £70,000 (Depending on experience)

Flexible testing times, enabling exceptional high quality patient care

• 30 minute testing times

25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 33 in total

Working days may vary depending on the flexibility you require offering greater freedom for work life balance:

• Half day Saturdays
• Alternate Saturdays possible
• Closed Sundays and Bank Holidays

• Topcon OCT (Deal and Canterbury)
• Combi Units with video Slit Lamp (Deal and Canterbury)
• Nidek Slit Lamp (Dover)
• Humphreys Zeiss VFA
• Applanation and Pneumo Tonometry
• Trial lenses
• Paper based patient management system

The Independent business has been established since 1981 and is still growing, they have recently opened a new practice is Canterbury.

Known locally as being very clinical based and often get recommendations from Ophthalmologists for patients to come visit them.

Running specialist services including:

• OCT scans
• Triage and Emergency appointments
• Dry eye clinics
• Looking to expand on more specialist areas of Optometry supporting additional training for Optoms to offer a variety of services

The business model attracts affluent patients allowing a less sales driven, pressure free environment.

The practices have a very modern, designer, open planned, boutique style throughout alongside a young vibrant team.

The company pay for parking permits for all staff members.

The Directors are a fully qualified Optometrists who really drive clinical performance and development with all employees in the business.
