Qualified Practice Manager

This role will be joining a well-established independent group of 3 practices, the company has been established nearly 50 years and still going strong due to quality customer service, comprehensive eye examinations and professional advice.

o Managing a total team size of 17 (Approx)
o Mobile between 3 practices within 30 mins of each other
o Limited dispensing and shopfloor duties as your experience is needed as a Manager
o Great working hours with no late nights and alternate weekends

Responsibilities of the Optical Practice Manager

This role will be mobile based across their 3 practices but mainly based in the smaller practice where you have the office space when needed however, this isn’t an office role and will require you to be leading from the front
You will be managing the day to day operation with emphasis on the business side of things.
You will be able to manage yourself and 3 small teams effectively, working towards targets, looking after all day to day running’s of the practice as well as all shop floor based duties.
Your typical duties will consist of;
o Staff management
o Training and development
o Rotas
o HR
o Managing the practices

Requirements of the Optical Practice Manager

Management experience is essential for this role and you will have ideally worked within a mix of independents and multiples
Qualified with the GOC as a Dispensing Optician isn’t a must but is desirable
The ideal personality will be an outgoing and bubbly person who is approachable and can work as part of the team
Ideally you will have an understanding of KPIs and managing goals and targets.
2 years minimum experience within an opticians as a Manager

Compensation for the Optical Practice Manager

o A competitive salary of up to £30,000 basic.
o A monthly bonus based on profit share (Approx £200 per month)
o 5 weeks holiday + Bank Holidays
o Alternate Saturdays
o Nice working hours – Dependent on practice
o Free parking
