Qualified Dispensing Optician

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a well-established independent Opticians around Cheltenham for an experienced Qualified Dispensing Optician to join a busy, but friendly practice.

This is not a hard sell practice but knowledge and experience of the retail side of the business is a must.
The successful candidate will be an experienced and competent dispenser, have excellent customer service skills and have a positive, friendly personality.

For this role my client is looking for someone to take on a straight DO role Full Time – nice hours, no lates, no Sundays and no Bank Holidays

Responsibilities of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

Working full time Monday to Saturday with a day off in the week
Hours are 9:00-18:00 Mon-Thurs and 9:00 – 17:30 on Fridays and Saturdays
The role is an all-round role and will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests, contact lens teaches as well as all front of house/ admin duties.
As you will be a senior member of the team you will also be required to support and help Optical Assistants and provide training when needed.

Requirements of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

At least 1 year of experience as a Qualified Dispensing Optician ideally within a busy practice.
The ability to dispense to all levels, with a friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
