East Anglia Diabetic Eye Screening Programmes

Are you interested in developing your clinical skills and challenging yourself with something new?

We have opportunities for optometrists to join our team in East Anglia (Ipswich, Ely and Great Yarmouth).

The Role

As a slit lamp examiner in a diabetic eye screening programme you will be in charge of a clinic seeing patients who have not been able to have successful screening with digital photography. You will see a range of patients and pathologies and examine them with slit lamp and volk lens grading any retinopathy you find and triaging any referrals to hospital if necessary.

Training and Support

You will receive all the necessary training and support you need to get you started if you do not already have experience in a medical retina clinic, including placement in a hospital eye clinic and you will also have the opportunity for ongoing training and CET every two months at our training events.
