Domiciliary Optometrist - East London & Essex Role summaryAn excellent opportunity has arisen at our Specsavers Home Visits domiciliary team for a qualified Optometrist.

Our domiciliary partners are proud of their efforts to date. Thanks to their excellent leadership and their hardworking, focussed team, they have built up a great business that is still growing, hence able to upsize their team with this rewarding opportunity.

Our current team is looking for an Optometrist who is happy to provide a comprehensive eyecare service to those who cannot get to our practices without assistance.

The area

You will cover East London locations, also some parts of Essex, which will give you a great blend of the cosmopolitan and rural countryside.

Day to day role

Working with Specsavers Home Visits allows you to have more time with each of your patients. Seeing patients in their own environment is a great basis for interaction and building relationships. This provides you with a strong personal experience and enables you to truly deliver bespoke care.

Every day is different, from homes to locations and of course different people.

Our patients request an eye examination; have the eye examination in their own environment; choose their spectacles; which in turn are delivered to their own home. They have the spectacles fitted thereafter and we provide an aftercare service.

There will be varied pathology and clinical experiences to keep your role interesting.

You will be driven to appointments, always accompanied by an Optical Advisor.

Our Optical Advisor will support you with dispensing and administration.

The culture

Our team culture is that of self- accountability, delivering clinical excellence within the community. Our partners will lead, guide and support you to where you want to be in your career, whether you are just starting out - through to being supported through our structured pathway so you can own your own business for those that want this.

You

As a trusted brand with a great reputation, it is heart-warming and very encouraging to know that patients let us into their homes.

Previous experience in domiciliary care is not required.

You just need to be a qualified Optometrist happy to serve the local community, with a genuine approachable persona, sensitive to individual needs, proud of your work.

On offer

We will naturally support you with a range of professional accreditations to enhance your career clinically and commercially.
