A very rare opportunity has become available with an independent chain for a mobile customer focused Qualified Dispensing Optician. This particular opticians rarely have vacancies available as people don’t tend to move on due to the great environment.

” Bonus scheme (Approx £150 per month)

” Great hours – 9:00-5:30 in the week and 8:45-4:00 on Saturdays

I am currently working with a very well established independent optical chain who are just about to celebrate their 70th anniversary and are currently looking for a customer focussed and clinical Dispensing Optician in the East Sussex area. As a mobile you will be travelling between 4 different locations to cover sickness, holidays and busy days – you will be based in one practice per day meaning no travel throughout the day.

The practices are situated on busy main roads and have a large and loyal customer base. This company has a wide range of frames which they pride themselves on to suit all budgets and they have a varied demographic. They have a very friendly and welcoming team in place that have all been in place for many years, who all work for each other to deliver the highest levels of care possible and they have a very good local reputation for excellence in customer care.

Responsibilities of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

Working 1 day per store so no split shifts or travelling to different practices in a day.
The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches.
You will also be required to carry out frame styling, admin/ reception duties and give patients advice on options.
You will also occasionally be required to use the remote-edging equipment (training can be given if required)

Requirements of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

At least 3 years of experience as a Qualified Dispensing Optician ideally within a busy practice.
A strong and varied dispensing knowledge.
The ability to dispense to all levels, with a friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Qualified Dispensing Optician

For your efforts and experience a competitive salary of up to £26,000 is on offer along with bonuses and additional benefits. You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment with an independent opticians.
