The School of Medicine is developing a Vision Sciences provision area, and an expansion of the capacity is necessary. As the Vision Sciences provision develops and expands, there is a need for staff to assist in the delivery of the programme.

The School wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Optometry and Ophthalmic Dispensing (one Optometrist) to support the development of the Vision Sciences educational provision and assessment of credit bearing courses in this area.

The successful candidate will have experience of teaching in Higher Education alongside experience of commercial CPD/CET delivery. Registration with the General Optical Council is essential as well as a good honours degree or equivalent in a relevant area plus at least two years’ post-registration experience in order to be able to supervise students in the Eye Health Clinic.
