Prospect Health's Optometry division is recruiting for an ambitious and passionate Optom on behalf of a modern independent practice in Merthyr Tydfil.

The Independent business has been established since 1988 and is known locally as being very clinical focused putting patients care and satisfaction as their number 1 focus.

Working hours

• 9:00am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 5:00 on Saturdays
• Alternate Saturdays are possible
• Closed Sundays and Bank Holidays

The practice

• 4 consulting rooms, 2 rooms kitted out for eye examinations
• Experienced Optom, Dispensing Optician and Optical Assistants

• Very competitive salary
• Up to £55,000 (Depending on experience)

• Flexible testing times, enabling exceptional high quality patient care
• 30 minute testing times

• Working days may vary depending on the flexibility you require offering greater freedom for work life balance
• Alternate Saturdays possible
• Closed Sundays and Bank Holidays
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 33 in total

The Company continuously invest in cutting edge technology to ensure they can provide the most up to date screening and investigative techniques Including:

• Nidek Slit Lamp
• Humphreys VFA
• Electronic test chart
• Pachymeter
• Pulsair and Perkins Tonometry
• Trial lenses
• Paper based patient management system

Running specialist services including:

• WECS
• Low Vision assessments
• Looking to expand on more specialist areas of Optometry supporting additional training for Optoms to offer a variety of services

• The practices have a very modern, designer, open planned style throughout alongside a young vibrant team
• The Director is a clinically focused and experienced Optom who drives clinical performance and development within the business
