Optometrist role in the South West offering excellent salaries progression and flexible weekend working (3 weekend days per month, your choice how to work in to rota)

My client is one of the leading Opticians in the UK, with a presence in nearly every town and city in the country. They have a fantastic reputation for clinical excellence, and customer service, and they now have a requirement for a full time Optometrist to join one of their practices in the Bridgwater area due to expansion.

The ideal candidate will ideally be a an experienced optometrist looking for a new challenge, you will be involved with an ambitious team all thriving for excellence but also helping each other through their day to day roles. You will be an ambitious, driven individual, looking to forge a long term career.

Will look at newly qualified or pre-reg’s

This is a large store with several test rooms – you will be well supported by your team with all pre-testing done for you and experienced staff greeting, prepping, passing over into your hands

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

Performing eyes tests to 20 minute appointments
Retinal imaging
Adhering to all GOC guidelines
Building excellent patient reports
Contact Lens Fittings

Requirements of the Optometrist

Must be GOC registered
Open to newly qualified or experienced
Open to part time or full time
A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Optometrist

For your efforts a competitive salary of up to £50,000 is on offer along with a strong bonus scheme and additional benefits.
You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training, progress and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
Also with this opportunity you can look to receive flexible weekend working – 3 days per month
This can either be doing Sat or Sun 3 times a month and having 1 weekend off or working 1 full weekend, 1 weekend day and having 2 weekends off – choice is yours !!
