A new opportunity has just become available for an experienced focused Optical Assistant on a full time, permanent basis in a new practice of an existing well established franchise of one of the UK’s most trusted optical brands.

Within this role you can look to receive a great package, real career progression and development while living in a scenic town on the South Coast.
This practice will be situated on a busy high street and has a large and loyal customer base. They already have a very friendly and welcoming team in place, who all work for each other to deliver the highest levels of customer care and just looking to recruit a couple more experienced candidates to have join the team.

You will be working in a small but busy store surrounded by a very supportive and experienced team who are willing to help and aid you in the right direction, as they are big on team building and work to provide an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on best options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant

You will have a minimum of 1 years’ experience within an Opticians
Must be able to dispense to all levels comfortably.
As an Optical Assistant within this practice you will work on the shopfloor in the dispensing team. You will be on hand to help junior members of the team with any difficult questions and general trouble shooting. As a member of the stores team you will have a valued input with best practice and clinical compliance.

Compensation for the Optical Assistant

For your efforts a competitive salary package (basic £15-18k) dependant on your experience is on offer, along with a bonus scheme (to be introduced) and additional benefits.
