Optometrist Position.

I am working with a leading optical brand to help them to find a quality Optometrist to join their team split between 2 stores in close proximity in Hertfordshire initially before settling in 1 location.
You will be joining a new team to the practice that will include another optometrist and several dispensing staff. You will be working for a great group of directors with a wealth of experience, success and ambition. the 2 stores are different environments one is well established with a loyal customer base the other will be brand new and will be a building a business from the ground up with the backing and support of some leading brand names.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist.

Your role first and foremost will be clinical you will be conducting sight tests in 20 -25 min slots. There will also be some contact lens work involved. In the new practice there will be an OCT so the use of this will be a part of your role there. As with every company a key part of the role of an optometrist is to make recommendations that ultimately lead to sales, however quality care will always be equally important as any potential financial rewards.

Requirements of the Optometrist.

To apply for this position you MUST be a fully qualified, GOC registered Optometrist who is up to date with all CET requirements. You will be a strong communicator with excellent people skills and the ability to put your customers at ease. You will be hard working and looking for a long term career move within a fantastic group that is really focusing on quality care currently. You will want to develop your skills and maybe add some additional accreditations as this practice is joining a shared care plan for Glaucoma screening.

Compensation for the Optometrist

On offer is a competitive salary of £36,000 newly qualifies – £45,000 for more experienced applications. You will also receive 33 days of annual leave, professional fees paid, private healthcare + additional benefits to be discussed at interview.
On top of the financial rewards you will also be able to continue to develop and add to your skills this might include accreditation or taking CET conferences etc.
