Optical Assistant Position

A very exciting opportunity has become available for a customer focused optical assistant who is looking for a full time career move with a market leading small optical group.
You will be working in a very well appointed practice with a strong reputation for quality and service.
The opening is for someone like-minded to continue to deliver to the highest standards and grow with the business.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant

My client is looking for applicants with at least 1 year of experience as an Optical Assistant ideally within a busy practice but not essential as they have a strong reputation for their training programs. The ability to dispense to all levels is essential with a friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic. A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
*They do require some flexibility in working location due to covering holidays and sickness in their other practices.

It is working 5 from 6 days and hours of 09.00 – 17.30 on a rota basis and working every Saturday 09.00 – 17.00 and Sundays off.

Compensation for the Optical Assistant

For your efforts, a competitive salary of up to £15,500 basic with a good overall package and prospects for the future is on offer along with additional benefits such as a good bonus scheme.
