Due to this stores continued growth we have a fantastic opportunity available at Specsavers in Maldon, Essex - we are looking for a Retail Floor / Assistant Manager to help support our Practice Manager in the running of the store!

Role Overview

To assist the store management team and store directors in the delivery of excellent customer service on the retail floor by assuming responsibility for shop floor based staff and activities in order to achieve business objectives

About the Role

  • Understand and motivate retail staff to get results through managing performance positively
  • Manage customer service effectively
  • Understand and implement highest possible levels of retail and customer service standards
  • Implement retail targets based on Key Performance Indicators within the store
  • Ensure staff understand the tasks and performance standards expected of them
  • Set performance objectives for all retail staff and review on a regular basis
  • Run regular staff meetings and performance updates
  • Support the In Store Trainer to ensure that all retail staff have the appropriate skills for their role
  • Plan and implement improvements in the retail area

  • Excellent Mystery Shopper scores
  • Actively engage in personal development to improve skills and product knowledge
  • All Retail staff understand the tasks and performance standards expected of them
  • Targets are set and achieved through the use of Key Performance Indicators
  • Customer complaints are managed effectively
  • Performance of the Retail area is maximised
  • Support the store management and Store Directors to create a positive and energetic retail environment that motivates the team
  • Be an ambassador for the Specsavers brand at all times
