My client has a very successful small but very busy practice in the Crewe area who is now recruiting for a conscientious and ambitious optometrist to take over the daily clinic.
The practice is well equipped with an air conditioned test room and comfortable overall work space. They have a fully trained support team who do all pre-tests and take your professional handovers to ensure the patients get the best advice and correct prescription requirements.
They are a very close team who all have the best interests of both the team and the patients in mind.

Optometrist Position

This is a full time opportunity with a market leading opticians in prime locations in the Crewe area.
They will consider both newly qualified as well as those who are more experienced.
They are the major opticians in the area and servicing both private and NHS clients and offering a good range of lenses and frames to suit all budgets. They now require a GOC registered optometrist to test to 30 minutes and comfortable doing contact lens work. The working hours are 9-5.30 Monday to Saturday with a day off in the week.
*There is the potential for future management for the right person if desired.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

The role will be delivering eye tests to a high standard with some contact lens work undertaken. You will be expected to make recommendations to patients who will then be passed on to the support team.
The successful optometrist will be happy to be a part of the team as on occasions you may be required to do a little dispensing and be out of the test room assisting on the shop floor.

Requirements of the Optometrist

You will be GOC registered and full CET accredited and happy to test to 30 minutes and have sound clinical skills and strong commercial awareness.
They are open to any levels of experience as it is more about your commercial awareness and clinical skills. You will have a friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic. A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Optometrist

For your skills and input my client is offering a competitive salary of up to £55,000 basic and a good bonus scheme is in place to enhance your earnings potential of up to £1000 pm. You will also have the opportunity for ongoing personal development.
