Optometrist - Bedford Role summary

Due to expansion of our ever successful practice, we are now recruiting for either a part time or full time Optometrist for Specsavers in Bedford.

About Us
We are a large practice in Bedford centre with 10 testing rooms in total and a diverse, strong team of 70 members of staff that are always at hand to support you in your role. We are growing too, with a refit due next year in which we are hoping to add another downstairs test room, meaning offering our first class eye-care service will be even easier. We love to be the best at what we do – and you will be testing using the most state of the art optical equipment and technology. We are looking at growing the services we offer over the next year too, with a strong focus on the development of our clinical skills in store and the introduction of even more enhanced optical services.

This store is an accredited Platinum Employer, which means you can expect an exceptional employee experience every single day you work here. The Platinum Employer Scheme is part of our drive to become a famous place to work. Stores with this accreditation have been verified on five key employer standards: Recruitment, Performance Management and Reward, Talent Management, Learning and Development and Employee Engagement.

The Area
Bedford is the country town of Bedfordshire. It is centrally located in the East of England, being a short train journey from Birmingham, London and Leicester making it an ideal location for those with links to these major cities. The train station is a mere 8 minute walk from our practice too!

The Package

• Competitive salary
• Benefits including medical/dental package
• GOC and College of Optometrist fees covered
• Relaxed 25 minute testing with contact lens work being optional
• Personal development plan including progression both clinically or through Joint Venture Partner Pathway
