With a new leadership team and total commitment to delivering a market leading patient experience, 2018 is the time to find out more about Optometrist opportunities at our flagship Exeter store. The new leadership team hold proven experience of running a highly successful Specsavers businesses shown in the success of the sister branches in Tiverton and Taunton.

Across all three of our practices, we not only have an Ophthalmic Director but we have a team of Lead Optometrists in place that are not only trained to Specsavers highest standards, but they are also qualified to assist with peer reviews, WOPEC assessment and EOS training, pre-reg supervision and also hold regular industry specific training sessions, some of which are supported by CET.

With all this in mind, we are now recruiting across the Exeter, Taunton and Tiverton branches for Optometrists with a passion for developing their clinical skills in a forward-thinking environment. Totally committed to our team member’s professional development, with a dedicated HR Manager in place to develop every member of the team (90% of our Taunton and Tiverton team members hold optical qualifications), we want to ensure that you are confident that you have a professional and well qualified team supporting you at every step.

This development is routine for us, what you can expect as part of your own personal development plan are regular discussions and clear action plans to take you to where you want your career to progress. For our Optometrists, we support numerous routes of development including but not limited to Joint Venture Partner Pathway training, MECs accreditation support, College of Optometrists Higher Qualifications supported including Professional Certificates in Glaucoma, Low Vision, Contact Lens Practice, Medical Retina and Paediatric Eye Care. You will also be given the opportunity to get involved in pre-reg supervision as either a primary or secondary supervisor so you can give back to the profession and develop your people management skills.
