I have recently taken on a new role for an experienced Optometrist, my client is one of the leading Opticians in the UK, with a presence in nearly every town and city in the country. This particular practice has an outstanding reputation in the region for clinical excellence, customer service and a great team culture. They now have a requirement for a full time Optometrist to join on of their practices.
The ideal candidate will ideally be an experienced Optometrist looking for a new challenge, you will be involved with an ambitious team all thriving for excellence but also helping each other through their day to day roles. You will be an ambitious, driven individual, looking to forge a long term career.
This is a large store with a well-established team and several test rooms – you will be well supported by your team and will have the opportunity to develop your skills and career forward either clinically with extra courses or down the managerial side.
Responsibilities of the Optometrist
Performing eyes tests – ranging from 20/25/30 minute appointments depending on your pace and ability
Retinal imaging
Adhering to all GOC guidelines
Building excellent patient reports
Contact Lens Fittings
Option to be a pre-reg supervisor
Helping to assist team and develop and grow team culture further
Requirements of the Optometrist
Must be GOC registered
Open to newly qualified or experienced
A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
Must be able to work well within a team
Compensation for the Optometrist
You will be working in a large, modern, well equipped practice with OCT, Ipads and all the latest equipment and technology in place.
For your efforts a competitive salary of up to £50,000 is on offer along with additional benefits.
Alternate weekends are potentially available to suit someone looking for a work/life balance.
You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training, develop onto WOPEC or down the managerial side and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
