Responsibilities of the Optical Practice Manager

The role will entail managing the day to day operating requirements of the practice with emphasis on achieving targets and increasing business levels.
You will be responsible for the training of your team to ensure they are competent in all areas of service and product knowledge and utilising their sales skills to increase sales and performance of your practice.
Liaising with your regional management team to ensure you have all the necessary supplies and up to date information and to deal with any customer queries as they arise.
To complete effective staffing levels to maintain a quality of service as to the customers’ expectations whilst having a good balance of skills in practice at all times and in line with practice budgets.

Requirements of an Optical Practice Manager

*You do not have to be in a management position at the moment as this role would suit someone in a supervisory or assistant management role looking for the next step up in their career.
You will however need to be competent at dispensing to all levels and comfortable doing contact lens teaches and pre-test screening as you will be training new team members to perform such skills in the future.
Have a friendly team leader ethos with strong customer / colleague interpersonal skills and be approachable.
*They would consider a qualified dispensing optician or an experienced non qualified dispenser

Compensation for the Optical Practice Manager role

For the role my client is offering a competitive salary of £18,000 – £23,000 with a strong multi-layered bonus scheme with 28 days holidays inc. bank holidays.
