Instead of doing a standard job add, i thought i write up the exact situation!

Ok so, an independent client of mine contacted me last year saying they had just added a new store to their portfolio.  

This practice, their 7^th, is in The Borough of Kensington. Fitting as all of their current store are in affluent upper middle-class areas of the home counties.

Anyway, this company involves itself in hyper-clinical practices and as a group they regularly provide feedback on referrals due to how talented this group of optometrists and DO’s is. This company DOES NOT employ non GOC registered members.

There will be no ‘manager’ as such, due to the strict hiring policy. You don’t hire 4 of the best people money can buy and then have a someone unqualified telling them how to do their jobs. You and the 3 other GOC members will run the show top to bottom.

The new store, I am FULLY staffing single handed, I was told to get 2 optoms and 2 DO’s.

So far, I have found the two optom’s- one I got from a London hospital who funnily enough used to deal with the referrals from this companies other practices and (s)he said they are more clinical than the hospital so I would happily join. The 2^nd is a lecturer of optometry whom has published many works on things such as AMD, prosthetic contact lenses and low vision to name 3 of over 15 publications. Both could get any jobs they want, and they have chosen this.

The DO that I got them already, has been a high-end west London DO for over 6 years and knows the demographic like the back of her hand, she was earning over 40k a year as a locum and was so overwhelmed but what we are putting together here, she has accepted less money to come on board.
