One of the nation’s largest retailers is branching out into the world of optics and is looking for an Assistant Manager to join an experienced Optical Manager and a small team of Optical Assistant’s to grow and develop this exciting new business.
Assistant Manager Position
A very exciting opportunity has become available for an Assistant Manager to join a brand-new practice in St. Albans. They have an experienced Optical Manager and an Optometrist in place and they are looking to add a personable and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to their team. As a brand-new business, you will spend your first couple of weeks in training getting to know your team and systems before launch day.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Manager
The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on their options. More importantly you will guide your team to be the best they can be, working with a team of four experienced Optical Assistants, you will on hand to support and motivate the team towards targets and KPI’s. An experienced senior optical assistant or a supervisor would be considered.
Requirements of the Assistant Manager
My client is looking for applicants with previous optical experience with previous supervisory experience and the ability to dispense glasses to all levels. You will have friendly and personable demeanour with a strong personal work ethic. It’s essential you have customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
Compensation for the Assistant Manager
For your efforts a competitive salary of £23,000 is on offer. You will need to be flexible to work weekends and late nights. You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
