My client is a well respected and well established independent group of opticians who are now looking for a qualified dispensing optician.
They have the flexibility for someone to work across 2 practices or more and the choice of management if this is your goal.
They have been established for over 40 years and have 10+ practices across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire with their own lab making spectacles with a daily delivery to all their practices and offer directly to the patient’s door.

The group have an enviable reputation for quality in both customer service and products on offer such as Bvlgari, Christian Dior, Emporio Armani and Michael Kors to name a few.

They are a family values driven group with patient focused teams who have the same ethos to deliver the highest levels of customer care possible.

Responsibilities of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

You will work closely with the practice owner to maintain and improve the year on year growth already achieved and be a major part of the plans to move forward.
There is the opportunity to take on responsibility in training and management and be a mentor to the dispensing team.
Your experience of delivering outstanding customer service and dispensing know-how will be crucial in the success of the practice and team.

Requirements of a Qualified Dispensing Optician

The position requires the person to be able to work closely with the practice owners and the team to move the business forward to a new level.
The right candidate will have the drive and ambition to succeed, be self-motivated and have pride in their work.
Have great attention to detail and the ability to effectively communicate.
You will be used to problem solving dispensing queries and resolving issues in a systematic & pragmatic manner and the skills to dispense all age groups including complex prescriptions.
Dispensing frames & lenses for all life styles and budgets. Spending time with each patient to fully understand their requirements and offering them the right products.
The ability to train and mentor staff and achieve set targets. To overlook, manage and implement changes to the practice as required is an option.

Compensation for the Role

For the role my client is offering a competitive salary of up to £25,000 with a strong bonus up to £5,000 per Annum and 33 days holiday’s inclusive bank holidays and all professional fees paid.
