Optometrist - Worcester Role summary

We are looking for qualified optometrists with energy and enthusiasm, a sense of fun, a need for a different pace of life to join our brand new Worcester Store!

Your role in our store

We know that regardless of whom you work for, who you work with, and wherever you live in the UK -an eye-test is an eye-test, pure and simple. We can’t tell you that your 25+ minutes with your patients is any different to anywhere else - but what we can offer is a workplace where we want you to be part of our team in Specsavers Worcester, and together, we’ll strive to give the best service to our patients.

We want you to get that little bit extra out of your normal optometrist’s working day, and feel that your contribution matters to us. This role will also include regular days working in the Malvern practice.

The store itself

The store has enjoyed phenomenal growth in the past year, which is down to good teamwork and loyal hardworking staff. We are relocating to open a brand new store which will feature 10 test rooms and have the latest technology including an OCT machine. All pre and post-screening will be carried out for you by clinical or optical assistants – which will allow you to concentrate on carrying out eye examinations to a high standard, and maintain an honest commercial approach to recommending the right products for the right patients.

You will be joining a really social team, with supportive directors who enjoy organising regular team events, including a summer party and Christmas activities. What’s more, the directors are keen to support your growth and development, whether this be clinical or professional. The store work closely with the NHS, and will help you gain PEARS accreditations.

And for you....

All levels of experience will be considered on a temporary or permanent basis for this fantastic role. The package will include:

  • Highly competitive salary package
  • Pension
  • CET Training
  • Personal development courses
  • G.O.C fees paid
  • Relocation packages are available for the right candidate
  • Sick pay
  • Rewards for no absence in a year with additional holiday
  • Private healthcare through Bupa

If you’d like to test the water first, we can arrange a visit for you to see and even work in the practice to introduce you to the area.

We like to combine professionalism with a sense of fun, so if you feel you can add a little spark to this practice please contact, Ellie Guest at Specsavers Recruitment Services on 01566 770122 or email ellie.guest@specsavers.com
