This is working for a retail store – no testing within the practice, which involves a high level and quantity of dispensing with excellent service.
Need to be able to hit the ground running with full knowledge of optics.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant
You will work within a busy practice in an all around role. You will be helping patients with all their eye care needs, including contact lenses, designer frames and NHS eye care. You will be dispensing spectacles and making sales as well as undertaking pre-screening, contact lens teaches and associated admin work.
Requirements for the Optical Assistant
You will need a minimum of 2 years experience as an Optical Assistant and it’s essential you can dispense spectacles to all levels.
You will be pre-screening patients, delivering contact lens teaches and will be very focussed on delivering the highest levels of customer service.
Compensation for the Optical Assistant
On offer for the right person is a competitive salary up to £18k as well as company benefits and the opportunity to further your career.
Very nice hours – 8:30-5:30 in the week and 8:30-4:00 on Sats – No Suns or bank holiday
