An opening has just come in for an experienced Optical Assistant to join a well-established, high end, bespoke independent in an affluent area.
You will be chatty, confident, commercially aware and immaculately presentable with strong communication skills and exceptional organisational skills.
This role would be working for a lively practice in a very nice area, the role itself is a demanding one meaning you will never be bored, you will be joining an experienced, supportive and clinical team with high levels of dispensing both in quantity and being high end.
Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant
Working full time Monday to Saturday with a day off in the week
Hours are 8:30 – 5:30 most days with a late on Thursdays till 7pm and early finish of 5pm on Saturdays
No Sundays or bank holidays
The role will entail high end dispensing spectacles to all levels with an Avg dispense of £800/900,conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches.
You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on options.
Requirements of the Optical Assistant
At least 2 years of experience as an Optical Assistant ideally within a busy practice.
The ability to dispense to all levels, with a friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
